The Shooting Stars classes together form are a bridging program which allows our younger members to progress from the Twinkles parent and toddler class into more formulated performing arts classes, without losing the fun and engaging aspect they have become familiar with at Starbrite.
There are four specific Shooting Stars styles for the learners to enjoy as individual classes or as a combination of two or more styles. These are:
- Shooting Stars Acro
- Shooting Stars Dance
- Shooting Stars Funky
- Shooting Stars Theatre
Each one follows the same themes and structure that they have already experienced as Twinkles, but allows them to develop fundamental skills within specific performing arts’ disciplines. It allows our youngest pupils to bridge the learning gap between their current experience and subject specific classes at a higher level.
In the Acro style, the syllabus is written to start the learner’s journey in Acrobatics and Cheerleading.
In the Dance style, the syllabus is written to start the learner’s journey in Ballet and Tap dance genres.
In the Funky style, the syllabus is written to start the learner’s journey in Jazz and Street dance genres.
In the Theatre style, the syllabus is written to start the learner’s journey in drama and singing.
The Shooting Stars program is also aligned to the Department of Education's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework (which sets standards for learning, development and care of children from birth to five years old), and provides a unique and all new curriculum to ensure the continued social, emotional and performing arts development of the children.
