Class Description

🎪 Roll up! Roll up! Calling all pre-school children and their parents. Little Cirque circus classes are at Starbrite Studios in Shiptonthorpe. 🤡 Watch your little one gain confidence and learn new skills in this super fun class.

Little Cirque is a programme developed in Australia for dance schools around the world.

It's great for both boys and girls - you don't need to be a dancer to take part! Students work through level cards meaning everyone can progress at their own pace with no pressure but always with a sense of achievement. Amazing for cognitive development, strength, flexibility, but most importantly, confidence.

🤸 Includes basic tumbling, interactive circuits, balance beams, silks, juggling, hula hoops, and more, all under the supervisions of our fully-qualified teachers.

Our Little Cirque classes are 60 minutes in length. After saying hello to Bobo the Monkey and warming up, the circus comes to town! We take our pre-schoolers through the different circus activities, which once mastered, will be awarded certificates before progressing to the next level. The final 20 minutes of the session takes place in our on-site café; the parent can socialise with a free hot drink while the child will be given colouring activities based on what they have learnt in the session and a free glass of juice.

When first joining one of our parent and toddler sessions, it may take a few weeks for your little one to settle into a new environment. This is why our rolling one-month enrolment programme works perfectly, as after the month, both parent and teacher will be able to make a confident assessment as to whether the session works for them.

There are lots of things to overcome when attending something new; meeting new faces, learning to work with new equipment, and exploring a new space. We all know how hard these things are to overcome as an adult, but rest assured when your little one is ready to participate they will blow you away. The Early Years Foundation Scheme (EYFS) celebrates any pre-schooler who attends a new environment, even if they only initially observe their surroundings, as it is a sign that they are ready to take their first steps into a new chapter of their exciting life journey.
