Emma Bailey-Hague, Creative Director and Principal

Emma Bailey-Hague

Emma has a wealth of experience mentoring and delivering pre-vocational training at a highly successful dance academy since 2001. She obtained her first IDTA teaching qualification at the age of just 16. Today, she currently holds a Fellowship, the highest technical qualification awarded by the IDTA, for tap and ballet, in addition to Licentiate qualifications in Modern-Jazz, Theatre Craft, and Freestyle. She holds an Anatomy and Physiology Diploma, a Level 4 Diploma in authentic street dance, and is certified to Level 2 with Acrobatic Arts.

Emma ran her own successful cabaret troupe, ‘Wicked', in which she performed alongside two other dancers touring around large corporate events and sporting events.

In 2001, Emma toured with the winner of BBC's 'Star for a Night', Mark Kerrins, performing vocals and choreography to sell-out audiences. She has also performed as a professional dancer in numerous other productions, toured as a can-can dancer for three years, worked professionally in pantomimes, and is an in-demand national adjudicator.

Emma is renowned for her energy, enthusiasm, and humour when teaching, as well as her passion and dedication for helping all pupils to achieve their potential.

Jason's experience in business and IT stretches back to when he obtained his degree in Business Studies in 1992, and many years since then working mostly as a freelance IT Consultant for a very diverse range of organisations in the private and public sectors.

He originally trained as a Software Developer, but is also a qualified technical trainer, and has spent recent years specialising in the design and development of database and management information systems.

As Managing Director of Starbrite, he is responsible for the company's development and for monitoring and evaluating the teaching and learning of both its students and teachers.

Nicola Sinclair, Teacher

Nicola started her journey at the age of 3, training in multiple styles of dance and began her singing training at the age of 13. She has always had a passion for the performing arts and has always been involved in shows and choirs. From a young age, Nicola always aspired to be a dance teacher and began that journey as a Classroom Assistant at her old dance school before moving onto her professional training.

In 2019, Nicola began her professional training at Expressions Academy of Performing Arts, studying singing, dancing and acting. She completed her training in July 2022 graduating with a Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Performing Arts.

Frankie Drinkall

Frankie has been dancing at Starbrite Studios since she was 3 years old when she first started ballet classes. She has progressed through various dance examinations in ballet, tap, and musical theatre and has taken part in numerous shows.

Frankie continues to enjoy being a Starbrite pupil and attends ballet, tap, Star Performer and Triplestar Performers, and is now loving sharing her dance knowledge with our younger pupils.
